If you’re a casual thumb scroller on Instagram and you follow Sticks and Stones Agency’s feed you wouldn’t have missed Jess Lee test shots that were featured in May. Something about the sun, upbringing and genes in the land down under thrive at fun and precise modeling.
Australian babe model Jess Lee briefly discussed her mantra to a plant based eco-friendly living while simultaneously hoping to make an impact in the fashion world.
The fashion world has been taking small steps towards a more sustainable production of clothing, make up and decreasing its carbon footprint. Makeup companies like Smashbox are a vegan makeup company and honor a ethically positive approach to animal rights. Many models like Ali Michael and Lily Cole are strict to a vegan lifestyle.
Ever since I was young I've always had the dream of becoming a model, imagining myself on the front cover of Vogue or strutting down the runway of Victoria Secret's fashion show. Being a strong, international icon for young women is the true meaning of being a model and expressing meaningful images of fashion and beauty.
Maybe in the future makeup and clothing companies won’t use animal products, who knows? But what is prevalent is that, more and more key figures in the female fashion world are outspoken animal rights activists and with the amplifying power of social media.
